Why Utah?
I wanted to train at a tertiary academic center that offered clinical experiences across a variety of settings. Training at the University of Utah allows me to spend time providing inpatient care, working in the community to deliver urban healthcare, and traveling to care for rural communities. Additionally, a strong perinatal substance use program, coupled with attendings from a variety of training backgrounds (Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, Maternal–Fetal Medicine, and others), means I will have the opportunity to learn multiple practice styles.
